My family and I went out for dinner tonight, kids eat free on Tuesdays at the Pizza Ranch.  After dinner, my wife says to me, "Let's go to Art Van and look at furniture."  So we go, being as we were going to go in 2 weeks and buy some new couches.  I only planned on spending about 1700 bucks on everything.  Wrong.  They talked us in to a new Lane leather couch, love seat, and chair and a half, as well as new end tables, and a matching stand to go under our tv that I now have to hang on the wall.  So, needless to say, my back side hurts after she totals up the nearly 4000 dollar damages.  The wife feels fine, though.

He did. Right in front of the salesperson desk when they said, "just sign here." ;D

Hey, sometimes you have to take one for the team in this business (talking about fishing). The spouse has to be happy too. You catch more fish that way.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I explained to my wife that if this screws up a new boat for me next year, I will burn the couches out of spite.  Can't fish from them, so I could,ve kept the old ones.  But, she's been wanting new since we got together....in 2000!  Guess it was time to give in.  I better get a new boat still!  And yes, there was a BIG sale. I'm going to need 2 wall mounts, because they gave me a "free" 40 inch flat screen tv with my purchase.  Then, they looked offended when I told them it was going in the bedroom, because the one I just bought for the living room is way bigger.  Oh well.

I have to agree there!! I can't remember the comedian's name, but his bit his called "Happy Wife, Happy Life"!!! And so how true it is!!!!

Yes... I stick with spouse though because we are getting many more female members on here and some of them are in the same exact 'boat' we're in! A spouse or significant other who does not have the same passion for the sport (and just doesn't understand, right...? :) )
