Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

looked at there site.  lots of events weeknight and weekend.  looks like they are really trying to compete with NBAA.  is this a start up group?  Kent lake is going to be really busy this summer.

I believe its their 2nd year...Lots more tournaments then last year though. 85% payback looks good to me and some really good choices on lakes as well. I'm gonna fish as many BBLC events as I can. McCarter might have some more info on BBLC since he's directing a division.

It is pretty out of control how many tournaments are going to be on Kent this year.

Can you fish by yourself in the BBLC events or are they all partner-oriented?

It says in their rules, 5 fish limit either fishing with a partner or alone. As long as its 5 fish limit I don't think fishing alone would be a problem
