John 'The Sniper' Jezierski asked me to host a poker game to help raise funds for the TBF of MI.  Here is the info:

TBF POKER FUND RAISER (TWO TOURNAMENTS 5 p.m. & 8 p.m.)

JAN. 30th,  2010            36 SEATS!!      PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!

REGISTRATION: 4:30-5:05 p.m.  FIRST GAME BEGINS AT 5:15 p.m. SHARP!!
$25 buy-in,  10,000 chips, 15 min. blinds, no rebuys. Pays 1 in 6.

BAD BEAT: Full house (A's over J's or better)  $25 BOUNTY
HIGH HAND: $25 NEMESIS BAITS GIFT CARD

JETS PIZZA & POP 7 p.m.- 8 p.m.

REGISTRATION 2nd GAME: 7:30-8 p.m. GAME BEGINS AT 8p.m.
$25 buy-in, 10,000 chips, 15 min. blinds, $15 rebuys (9,000 chips) / first two blinds.

If you need to get some more fundraisers going let me know.  I do them all the time.  Our biggest so far raised over 40k and was put together in 3 weeks.  We raise a couple thousand on a regular basis.  We have two types, Bowlathons and comedy shows.  If you prefer the comedy show I would have to put you in touch with Sheila, she runs those almost every weekend.

Not sure what the payback is.  here is the sample payout for 36 entries on $25 buy-in.

1st place $250

2nd place $130

3rd place $100

4th place $80

5th place $50

6th place $30

Plus, we are supplying food and drink (BYOB, we will have pop and water)

And paying back $50 ($25 per game) for Bad Beat Jack Pot

And $50 ($25 per game) in Nemesis Baits Gift Certs

john and I will not be "pocketing" any money.  I am donating the gift cards and part of the 20% kept will go towards paying for food and drink.  i dont know how much the tbf will end up with.  whatever is left after the cost of food and drink, so depending on how many people show up and how much the food and drink is it could be anywhere from $1 to $1 billion.
