I went to the show today with my son.  I met some of the GLBass.com members that I have talked with but have never met.  Let's see......mikesmiph I met for the first time today and MadWags also for the first time.  Of course I saw all the gentlemen I have met in the past like McCarter, LaPorte, jcheetam, Got Fish??, and of course our fearless leader and founder of Greatlakesbass.com the one and only who of course needs no introduction djkimmel.   :-*   Let us not forget WayneC who if it wasn't for his outstanding product and scientific mind we would never ever catch anything on Lake St. Clair.   :-*  I know I am missing one or two and maybe more.  I apologize for that.  Chime on this if I missed you.

On the earlier days like Thursday and Friday I saw Mojo, Durand Dan who was there today also, as well as csfishslayer.

Left Grand Rapids around 6:45 am. and a group of us headed for Novi.  We got there early and stayed until about 3:00 PM, and we then drove over to the BPS and made a deposit. We then went across the street to Joe's Crab Shack. Got back to GR about 8:30 pm. Posted my story on my teardropbass.com blog this morning.

Words cant describe what a great time we had this weekend. Went to the show with my grandaughter Veronica. I cant tell you which one of us is more excited to see spring come. Putting a face to all the people I have met on here was a wonderful experience. It seems like I have gained a whole new family. At one point, Veronica got a little turned around and took too long getting back to the booth. I think I had 4 or 5 people helping me look for her. There are truely some great people in the bass fishing world of Michigan. The roast of Kim Stricker on Saturday night was indescribable. To sit in a room with him and KVD, and listen to the stories was fantastic. Veronica cant wait to get on the water with her new Grandt rod, she had it in her hands until she fell asleep. So did grandpa, with his lol. Guys, I cant tell you how nice it was to meet you. What a great bunch. I learned more about fishing this weekend, then I have in 20 yrs. I could go on all day. I wont even try to say all the names of the wonderful people we met. Thanks from me and Veronica. We'll see you on the water, and in GR. And maybe inbetween.

Veronica and me are pals for life!! Us redheads have to stick together!!!

Well, I saw a lot of "old" regulars and met a few new people as well.  I'm not going to list names because I'm sure I would forget someone and that wouldn't be cool!!
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and Veronica too. She got a great late Christmas gift that will last her a lifetime. Mike, judging by your bobbing technique, I would try the Grandt Rod next time.LOL!

Thanks to everyone that came by the Grandt Rods booth to look at the display.
Welcome to all the new members that signed up at the show.

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

The roast was up for a while under general discussion, but I took it down before the show. I had an email conversation with Kim and figured he might check on the site. He checked the day after I moved the post off. Close call, but the surprise was saved!! It was one heck of a funny evening!
