Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Has anyone used or at least held the new Falcon BuCOO rods? I love the way these rods look and I love the price. Is there anyone in southeast michigan selling these rods? I plan on picking up 5 or 6 of them this spring. What about the Wright and McGill Tessera rods? Any opinions? They seem way to cheap for Skeet to actually use them. I am also planning on getting the 7'10" KVD tour edition cranking rod. I used a 7'6" medium bps rod for deep cranks last summer and had a blast. The smallies practically ripped the rod out of my hands on more than one occasion last year.

havnt used or held them but from what i have seen from Falcon they are probably one of the most under-rated fishing rods on the market.  they make a top notch product and are fairly priced.  i would imagine these rods would be a good value.  hopefully some will have them at the show.

if not, check out the Grandt rods.  They offer many different price range rods and tho i have never used one (yet) i have heard nothing but good things about them.  And Wags uses them and he is pretty cool sometimes.  Plus, they are a board sponsor.  You get bonus points for supporting board sponsors!  Its a win/win.

I have held the Quantum KVD 7'10" crank rod.  My exact words were ( and in my best Borat impersonation) Thats Snice!.  Incredibly light for the size.  If you can track him down at the show ( dont know if he is going to be there working or just wandering, havent talked to him lately ) find Jeff Harris aka 5alive when he does grace us with his presence.  He is pretty tight with Qauntum and can point you in the right direction.

McCarter himself :-\'

I strictly use Falcon rods, but have not gotten my hands on any of these yet. I imagine their quality work has carried over to these.

If you have older Original Falcon rods you may want to consider if you can trade up for one of these or a more expensive rod with their Trade-up program.  http://www.falconrods.com/tradeup.html

That's a great deal, that makes the price of a new Expert more feasible if I trade in the old Expert. Still would be $200 though.
