Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Spent Sunday on Ovid with my son and daughter in law trolling for the fabled Musky. Low and behold She actually hooked into one and like all good fisherpersons proceeded to just haul this fish to the boat. There was no playing of the fish or any finess at all just reel like heck and here it comes. Problem was when we launched the boat I forgot the very large net that was laying in the back of my truck so with out stopping to even think about it I told my son that it was his wife so HE had to land the fish for her. Now this fish is in the range of 40 inches long and probaly close to 16 or 17 lbs. so he proceeds to grab the leader and trys to hoist the fish into the boat and then he loses the fish. You can imagine the words that were spoken between my son and his wife for the next several hours. Sure glad I had the presence of mind to make him try to get the fish. I was just happy to keep catching a few 2 and 3 lb LM.
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

So... why didn't he lip it!?! ;D :o

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I've got the Berkley version of a Boga Grip.

It's pretty inexpensive and it works like a champ.  I'm often fishing from the back, so I just throw it in my tackle box.

Of course my tackle box is more like an overnight bag.

When in my own boat, it is often found on the deck.

I'll bet over the years it's paid for itself in lures that I haven't lost.

If I was going to buy another one, I'd get the one with the scale in it.  I don't need the digital, but the mechanical one is fine.  I like the idea of weighing fish without putting a hole in them.

I also like not spending $100.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
