Anyone with a Humminbird using a navionics east region chip?

I have a 787c2i and a 2008 navionics east chip and when I'm on St Clair I lose all the spot soundings when I try to zoom in on an area. I took my unit back to Bass Pro with the chip and it did the same in the units they had there. We tried a different 2008 chip and it did the same. It works everywhere but on LSC. There was a navionics rep at BPS and he could not get it to work. We tried it on the Lowrance units and it worked fine. The rep sent a report to Humminbird but I have not heard back from anyone yet and it has been over a month. Anyone else have this problem with a Humminbird unit? My unit is less than a year old. I like this unit but it's getting a little frustrating. Thanks

I just recieved a new unit from hummingbird (787 c2i)   I have the same problem.  Software is current too.  The refresh rate is bad as well.  I know what you mean about frustrating.  You zoom in and nothing is there.  I have the 2008 east chip as well.
Got one!

Look past what they want you to see.

I posted on the BBC boards and got a reply back from a Humminbird rep and he wanted to know if I had everything turned on to view the spot soundings and I do. I'm waiting to hear from Humminbird on the matter. If it's something that can't be fixed then I will get a Lowrance HDS. I just feel that after spending close to $700.00 for the 787c2i and chip it should work better than that. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

I am not sure what I did, but mine was not working at first either with a 997. I really can't remember what I changed but it was some setting to show more detail I think. I was so angry about it not working I emailed Navionics. Basically they said that all the chips have the same maps of LSC and they are only rated to zoom down to 1/2 NM. Some units allow "Overzoom" and some don't, which lets you zoom in closer without showing additional information.

Mine will only zoom down to 0.5sm on LSC which is not even over zoom. If I go to the Lake Erie map I can over zoom down to 50 feet and still see the depth numbers. I got a reply back from Humminbird and they are looking into it.
