I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Sorry about the web site downtime last night

Sorry to anyone messed up by the web site downtime late last night. It was unscheduled and unplanned due to some critical security fix at my site host server level. I was caught off guard also and normally would not do things like that. I had no control over it either at that level.

It affected the entire web site for an hour or so starting around 12:30 AM, and the databases that run the forum, blog and other software for quite a bit longer.

Everything seems to be working correctly now, but let me know if you are having any problems now - email support 'at' greatlakesbass 'dot' com.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Why don't you go with a real web provider!

Ya know... I left my previous host because there were too many surprises with no warnings. But that isn't why I finally left. It was the no communication afterwards... like, 'sorry about that, but we are back up now.' Sometime hours - or in a few particularly icky incidents - days later, the site would just start working again. When I called to explain this seemed like poor communication practice, I would get an answer like, 'huh...?'

And that would be about it. I did not feel appreciated ;D
