Humminbird 987 si

I bought my 987 three years ago and could never get it to work like it was advertised . Also it tended to freeze up at the worst times ,and wouldn't change screens .I called customer support many times without results , downloaded updates, but still wasn't getting the images they showed in there ads . Finally I sent the whole thing back last month after talking to a lady named Sharon in CS and explaining my problems and asking why did they discontinue the 987 , was there inherent problems with it ? First they sent my unit back with a new transducer , but didn't address my other problems . Sooo, I called again and sent it back ,again , and they upgraded me to a new 997 . There is a night and day difference between the two units . I mounted the TD in the same spot , but the image is ten times more defined ... Just thought I'd post this in case someone else has 987si....CR
