Short report...
Lake was bumpier than expected. Fished Mile Rds. in around 13?-18? of water. Tried cranks and nothing. I caught 2 over 3lbs. and a couple of small ones  on a drop shot. Dan caught a few smaller smallies on a Ned Rig. Slow day.
Almost forgot...
Broke one off that looked like it was probably the biggest of the day. Was tired (lazy?) and didn?t check the line after a birds nest. Bah.

Not a bad day if you compare to my last 3 trips. (orchard lk.) I have been eliminating unproductive areas!  :-[  >:(

Thanks for the report.  I've always thought September is one of the toughest months to fish.   Sorry about the lost fish.  Been there and done that.  I'm sure we all can relate to that at some point.
