I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Jay-MadWags and tdrouillard win 2018 MadWags Memorial

Filed under "Better Late Than Never" - the belated 2018 MadWags results: JayMadWags and tdrouillard teamed up to win the MadWags Memorial Members Tournament Saturday, May 5, 2018 with 5 Lake St. Clair smallmouth bass weighing a whopping 25 pounds 4 ounces that included a 5-12 Big Bass of the event as well!! They won the big money for 1st Place and Big Bass!

markgoetsch and Mike S. finished 2nd with 5 bass totaling 20-5! Third Place went to t-bone, Laura and Jakob for 5 bass at 18 pounds 12 ounces! Second Big Bass was caught by the team of triton22 and Jefferson - a nice 5-2 smallie!

I cannot remember who took the coveted Big Ugly Award, or what type of fish and weight. If someone else remembers and can refresh my memory I would appreciate that.

Thirteen total teams with 28 anglers made it to Harley Ensign to fish the 2018 MadWags Memorial - a good turnout! For food at the weigh-in we had Carlo's Pizza deliver and that was fun as I ordered 3 large pizzas, but when the driver got there he kept pulling out box after box! Apparently, a mistake was made more than once so they kept remaking the pizzas and then delivered them all so they wouldn't go to waste. I think we ended up with 9 large pizzas!!! We ate our fill and then found a bunch of visitors/anglers at the ramp to give away lots of leftover pizza. Many more people were made happy that day!!

Various members brought drinks, snacks and tableware. Everyone had plenty to eat while the fishing stories flowed freely!! I'd like to add a special thanks of my own to VinceR for once again 'chauffeuring' me to the event so I have extra time to wake up! Thanks Vince!!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
