The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Unfortunately I am out now.  >:( My vacation week at work got screwed up and they scheduled me for the following week off and its too late to change anything. This sucks I was looking forward to being able to fish this year. Good luck to everyone!!!!

Okay. Looks like I have to set up a story table to see where we are at now... Keep signing up, and hope the vast majority of you can make it and do. Fishing should be GREAT this year!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I got my new Golden Rule in the mail.  So I'm ready to go.  Let's just hope I need to use it.  LOL  The fishing's been slow, but hoping the warming trend this week helps.  I'll be there with the same partner as last year.  See you all then.
