I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Hay guys after working every single Saturday since the dk open i have finally wrangled a Saturday off for fishing with the club that my day off didn't fall on! And didn't have to sell my soul to the man either lol. It's called sick of management and burning a sick day. So I am looking forward to fishing with everybody and also fishing the river for bass the first time. Always fished for walleyes there and don't know the first thing about fishing for bass there. So see you all there.

See you there.

Here are a few suggestions. (Admittedly though Mark and Rev, just to name a few, know way more about this than I do, )  A lot of the channel fishing is in 20 to 40 feet of water.

I'll take my drop shot rod and will no doubt use mostly 5/8 oz weights.
I'll use the Nemesis 3" goby, the drop shot tubes from Xtreme tackle, and I'll try some Gulp Gobies this year.

On my tube rod I'll probably have mostly 3/8 oz weights on it.  For tubes I use Xtreme tubes.  I'll start out with 5" tubes, but I'm sure that 4" will also be used.

Both tubes and drop shots I'll try and keep as vertical as I can when I use them.  "Walleye jigging for Bass".  This seems to aid in bite detection, bait presentation to the Bass, and it keeps me from getting snagged on bottom.

I've never tried the 3 way rig that Wayne Carpenter talks about, before, but this year, I'm going to try it.  On the business end of the 3 way I'll use  a twin tail hula grub on a 2/0 worm hook.

For line, I use braid, with fluorocarbon leaders tied in with a uni to uni knot.

Again, I'm not the expert, but these are what I'll use.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Well after a grueling month of renovating our new church, the work is finally over and I'm looking forward to taking some time off to get out there!  I will be there for this event and can't wait to get back on the water.  In fact, I may get out on Wednesday of this week if all goes according to plan.  See ya'll there.

Hi Guys,

Sign me up as a boater (Canadian & Walpole) for now but I may have to back out. My son starts school again soon but I can't remember which day I have to haul all his stuff up there. I'll check and post it as soon as I know.

The channels have been fishing very tough so far this year (at least for me). Tom and I were up there last week and we did just "so-so" but it's been hit or miss for the most part. Even on my best day we haven't got into them like last year and the bigger fish are hard to come by. The lakes been fishing the same way.  >:(

I don't think I will be there.  Not sure what my plans are at this point, if something changes I will let you know.

I am way out of sync with what the lake is doing.  I totally missed the pattern in the BFL last weekend.  I had shallow cranking fish going and then deep (14 - 15) weeds as a backup.  Tx morning I could not find a fish on the crank (although Chip won it on cranks) and my deep fish were just dinks.  Never found the big bite out deep like so many of the guys did.  The wind howled for 4 straight days - I have never been so sick of wind in my life.

Seth

Bender

This whole year has been very windy, I would rather fish in the rain any day than the wind.
I can go either as a boater or non.

I believe it is the Algonac ramp. Map: http://tinyurl.com/6j2czt

It is the ramp just on the outskirts of Algonac.  Marine City is farther north up the St. Clair River.
Coming from the west it is about .25 miles past the Harsen's Island Ferry, and the entrance is across the street from a Wendy's and a Sub Way.

For those of you who have never launched there before, it is a shallow ramp for quite a ways out into the Channel.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
