Well the Wixom Open was a great success again this year.
we paid out over $3400 in prize money plus trophy's.
We had 25 boats.  I think almost the same as last year.  Paid back six places.
First place team of Swinson/Krauss had around 15.6# bag and BB of the tournament at 4.26# to take all
the glory and $1740 total winnings!  weights went slowly down from there to the last
money spot of 6th place of 12.98 # weighed in by me and
Brian.
fishing seemed a little off to us as the tournament progressed.
we had a limit by 8:30, but it was 6 fish for about 8 pounds with
a nice smallie kicker.  Spent the rest of the day trying to get big bites.
ended up catching 13 keepers from 2' of water to 10' of water.
3 smallmouth, the rest largemouth.  and never did get a decent fish.
sounded like a lot of the same for a  lot of other teams.
there were only two fish over four pounds weighed in.
If someone ever figures out how to catch those 5 and 6+#
largemouth in june, that show up in late july and august, they will be very hard to beat early in the year.

later
