Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

Is NOT open. Still big piles of dirt in front and the concrete has not been poured yet. They said might be 2 more weeks before it is done😡😡😡

Is the east ramp open yet? I saw it a couple of weeks ago and still not completed at that point.

I was there last Friday and it looked like there was a lot of work to do.  Won't get back until next week.  At least the water is high.  Had no problem launching at the west.

Maybe they are going to fill the lake in with dirt and they need a nice new ramp to start... (hopefully) that lake sucks.... or maybe just maybe its me...lol

The Pike are Thriving out there.  Not sure how many I caught last week... Even caught 3 on a Buzz Bait.  Mean little critters.

East Ramp is open. Parking is a bit messed up as they still have the sailboat floats taking up some spots. Nice ramp though.
