I'm just curious how many Do-It-Yourselfers we have on the board.

I've been painting up a bunch of crankbaits for the year, I pour some jigheads (mostly tubes) and pour some plastics when Joshimotoson and/or McCarter let me.  :D

Any other budding artisans out there?
Jeff

I havent graduated to hard baits yet, but I am pouring all of my own soft plastics this year.  Craws, Shakey head worms, stick baits, beavers and frogs.

not sure if this counts.  I take whole Senkos and break them in half.  They seem to work for me plus you get double the count per bag.

I can vouche for him, they do work!

I don't, but as I near retirement age, I was actually thinking about doing custom air brush painting in the winter for something to do.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Me and my buddy have been pouring our own tube jigs, flippin' jigs and spinnerbaits for a few years. We started pouring football head jigs last year. We started pouring plastic over the winter. Stick baits, chunk trailers, french fries and working on tubes, shaky worms and beaver type baits. It's way more time consuming than we thought it would be, but it is interesting to come up with your own colors and designs.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

I've been assembling my own spinnerbaits and having a ball doing it. They have worked very well so far, and it offers me the ability to match up head sizes with blade styles and sizes I can't find in stores.

bhorlings

I pour my own soft plastics. I don't fish a lot of crankbaits but love collecting them! I'd like to maybe start doing some repaints on them someday.
