well since it's winter for 6 months out of the year here,
some of the bass club guys have been hitting the bay pretty
regularly after walleyes.  It's been a little slower this year
than last, but they are out there, ice is in pretty good shape in the
southern part of the bay.  lots of guys fishing out there, even last night
in the snow storm.  last year by this time, I had cleaned 14 walleye
from the bay.  this year 1 so far.  oh well.  marked 3 last night and
hooked all three, only getting 1 thru the hole.  it was a nice fat 18"er
caught one monday night out of five bites, and it was all of about 9".
fiesty little guy though.
good fishing.

well the ice on the bay is done.
15 trips to the bay, and two to the river for me resulted in 42
walleyes in my belly or freezer.
i had family and friends come up and go out with me 4 times this
year, didn't do very good getting them on fish.  combined
with my 42 and the guests i took out.  we brought in 58 walleyes
this year.  after the next four days i'm spending down on the
maumee river, i expect to have surpassed last years total of 52
for myself.  good fishing.
