The Norman King

Bryan Thrift's specialty is pretty much everything, but today he proved that he's got a special kind of connection on Lake Norman. Weighing a total of 34 pounds, 12 ounces, the Shelby, N.C., pro took home top honors in the inaugural Walmart FLW Tour Invitational presented by Lowrance on Lake Norman. Good for $71,000 and a Forrest Wood Cup berth, the win was Thrift's second Tour-level triumph on Norman and his fifth Tour win overall.
