Saginaw Bay 6.18.16
« on: June 20, 2016, 11:07:31 AM »

Well made it out again in hopes to learn a little more about Da Bay on Saturday.  I was hoping to run out to Charities since the wind was perfect all day but unfortunately I could not find someone to go with me.  So I promised the wife I would not go all the way there by myself and ended up fishing just west of north island.  I ended picking up 2 4#'ers and a 3 #'er and a couple 2 #'ers.  Even caught a bonus sheephead.  Best spots I found were isolated humps coming up from 6-8 foot to about 4 foot.  Saw a few smallie's on beds and was only able to get one to bite off the bed,  Saw lots of cruises that would not bite.  water was 67 in the morning and moved up to 70 by afternoon.  Hit new top speed in the fish and Ski on the like glass water 62.8 in which slight chine walk starts.  I feel it was good day even though not great numbers of fish I still enjoyed gaining a little experience in locating some fish on Da Bay.

I will post some pics later

Well, it sounds like you still learned a few things which is good.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
