Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Anyone having this problem?  When I go to NBAA's results pages, they take an eternity to load.  Sometimes it takes several minutes for each page.  I eventually give up most of the time.  I'm on DSL with a lot of bandwidth, so it's not my connection.

Same problem here. Clicking on results it takes forever to get to the page. Once I get to a specific area, such as division standings it goes quicker.

Contact Genie....let him know and he will look into it.  I don't have that problem and I have dsl at home and work.

I am aware that the system is slow at times.  The site is due for an upgrade - it really gets a ton of traffic and needs to be "sped up"!!

New site is already under construction and should be ready in a week or two.

Sorry if some of you are getting frustrated.

Are you by any chance using AOL or MSN or one of the other "all inclusive" services?

Revtro and Langer - both of you get that error message or just you Langer?

Normally that error is caused because services like AOL or MSN, etc. change the IP address of your request in/out of the network randomly so that is why you might get that error.

Work or hom?  If work, are you using any kind of proxy server on your network?

Not to hi-jack GLB, you can PM me for further questions, etc. if you'd like.  We'll get it figured out for you.

I think it may have something to do with my work and there settings. Thinking about it I have never tried to check it at home, just at work. Thanks for the help.

I have been checking the NBAA site since the beginning of the season and it was the slowest site I have ever been on. I thought maybe it was just my computer and asked a few buddies who gets on the site often and they said the same thing. It was painfully slow for them as well and also sends you to the wrong page every now and then.

The new and improved NBAA Tournament Dashboard is now available.  ;D

Thank you to all of you for being patient during our period of unexpected growth.  The system had finally run its course and was in dire need of improvement.  I'll miss her.   :'(

Well, NBAA and myself like to keep everyone happy, so please enjoy the completely new (from the ground up) site.

Let me know if any of you have any issues with the new system via a PM or email.

It moves at the speed of light!! Great Job

Genie

I'm sure there will be a couple snags that someone will find now that it is available to the world.  Please remember that this was a complete re-write and there is bound to be something no matter how much we test it.

I'm glad you see the speed increase.  That was the number 1 objective.  2nd objective was to make more information available and to give the directors more tools for getting information entered in the system in a more timely manner.  3rd objective was to help the administration enter the massive amounts of new members faster.

As always, we'll stay on top of any snags that may surface.

Thanks,
