I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Two hawg largemouths caught by Jon Bondy a couple days ago - I believe he is down on the Texas/Mexico border on Lake Amistad:

Nice bass!!!

What a stud.  I wonder what it would take to get him to move to Michigan so we can claim him as our own.

PoorBoy himself :-\'

He always tells me he considers himself American (possibly Michigander or Michiganian) anyway...

Hey - that might be it!

Check out this latest big old toad bass Jon caught in the desert (that Amistad is obviously a mega-bass fishery):

That's what happens when you let a Canadian across the border...he gets lost on his way to the hockey game and ends up in Texas.

Seriously though, I wish Jon luck in his upcoming BASS Elite Series.  He is making his run at the big time and I hope he makes it.  He has worked very hard at this and I hope it works out for him.

I just heard from Jon this morning - email from Lake Amistad - where he's getting ready for the first Elite Series event. This year will be a major effort for Jon this year being his first full year in the Elite and having to come up with $55,000 just for the entries.

He's still in, but as we are discussing on another thread, financing this attempt without several major sponsors with major endorsements - hard to get in the economy and as a fairly new angler at that level still - is very challenging.

If you might be interested in helping even a little, check out: Help Jon Fish for more information.

Good luck Jon! Hopefully, it will work out. Concentrate on your fishing as much as you can.
