I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

Due to low water levels on the Great Lakes, particularly Lake St. Clair, the mouth of the channel at the Michigan DNR Clinton River Cutoff ramp needs to be dredged.

SW MI FOM Paw Paw Lake Fishermen Please read.....We are meeting in South Haven on Friday, several of my mounts including my commemorative bucks of MI whitetail and trophy Musky will be on display so bring the family. This will be our only indoor meeting of the year so come out and enjoy the fellowship. The Church will be putting on a feast for us and there is several Hotels right next door. You can also park overnight in the church lot if you want. Holiday Inn Express 269-637-8800, Hampton Inn 269-639-8550, etc mention Fishers of Men, it does not hurt to ask as I have told them we are in town. The remainder of the meetings will be at the lake launches. Look for the FOM banner in front of the Church
Please call if you need anything YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT.

The second event will take place at the West boat launch on beautiful Paw Paw lake, this lake features a maximum depth of 90' with lots of contours and great places to fish. The Friday night meeting will take place at the South Haven Church of the Nazarene at 6:30 pm were we will enjoy food and fellowship in their fellowship hall. Pastor Scott will bring a brief message. For those of you who know were the Wal-Mart or Shermans Icecream is the Church is right across the road. The address is 72133 CR 388 (Phoenix RD) South Haven Michigan 49090 PH 269-637-8941
This is directly east off the 196 exit.

Directions to the launch are as follows:
From points north take 196 south to the M140 exit head south towards covert/watervaliet when you arrive in watervaliet you will see a park on the left and a sign for Paw Paw ave take this right it heads along the south shore of the lake look for Wil-O-Paw drive take a right. There is a DNR boat launch sign here, take a right on Island court and a left into the launch .


From points South take I-94 to the Watervaliet M140 exit, go through town to Paw Paw road, there is a launch sign heading this way. Turn left at Paw Paw this heads along the south shore of the lake look for Wil-O-Paw drive take a right. There is a DNR boat launch sign here, take a right on Island court and a left into the launch
