Ok you jig experts.   Do you think jig head color makes a difference.   Did some grinding on my mold and poured some new heads.  Didnt have time to paint or powder coat them.   Used one yesterday and caught a 4.91 largemout and 2 other nice ones.    These are swimming jigs so not sure color matters.

bob o

the paint catches more fishermen than fish  ;D

What is this "jig" thing you are refering too?   ???  ???

;D
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Not sure they work west of Lansing.

No I do not with bass but eyes I believe it does in cases.

I don't like flashy jigs.... So I have been using flat black powder coat.

I use the same stuff with my 2.00 garage sale toaster oven to bake them.   A.lot cheaper there.

If you have a to fish a lake that isn't full of dumb bass... then it might make a difference. I just like them better that way... and I fish better with lures I like. Though I'm too lazy and cheap to buy eyes to put on them. Sometimes I don't feel like painting eyes either. I just assume I'm targeting nearsighted bass and don't worry about it... ;D

When I have stuck those little flashy eyes on some of my jigs the bass we have up are so aggressive and mean they just knock them off anyway. Sometimes (back in my tournament days anyways) I think the boat ride out to the first fishing spot somewhere on the Great Lakes knocked the eyes off while the jigs where still in my boxes...

I used to carry nail polish in the boat for a quick replacement in an hour of need... but that caused too many uncomfortable questions... so I stopped.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
