Decided to go try our luck at LSC since it was the only day in May I had a chance to make the trip. Calm water as we launch from the Crocker DNR ramp headed south. A little over a mile into our run my buddies lower unit takes a crap and sounds horrible. We aren't getting to the spots we want to fish. Now what??

We decided to fish  around the 400 club and slowly worked back towards the ramp. We landed 4 smallies in 2 hours.  3 keepers and solid looking fish, biggest being 16inches. Wind shifted and we decided to use the trolling motor till she died, luckily that got us back to the ramp safely

All fish caught dragging tubes in 6-8ft of water. Clarity was 2 ft at best, water temp 48-50
I feel like we could have crushed some fish of we had the main engine working good. Can't wait to try again later in the year

Fished from 5-17-14 to 5-24-17 fishing good, had to find clear er water, fished where the wind would let use.  Very little grass but once found thats where the fish were ;D Swim bait slow and ticking grass, spinner baits ticking grass and rattle baits. Some tune bites but slow. Tubing Sucking :D Hoping to come back in mid to late June when grass is up and May Fly hatch going on please advise. LSC fishing reports for 2010 not hitting on much ;) Guys need to post more current info.

Was up on the 1st and fished the mile roads early. Lots of small males on tubes and jerkbaits but nothing of any size. The wind, boat traffic and muddy water made things tough but still managed plenty of LSC smallies. Love this place. Don't think Sunday's are the best days on the water.
