I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Just purchased my first Airrus rod after much debate and deliberation.  Bought a 6'6" Traditional Spinning for shakey heads and drop shot, even finesse worms and jigs.  Read alot about the megaphone effect from the wrapped handle, and decided to give it a try.  We'll see.

I dont think you will be disappointed.  Ken makes a very good rod.  I've got 5 of them.  Now I just have to compare them to the B&R rods and see what works better for me.  I'm afraid it will be a draw or too close to call and I'll have to spend double the money due to buying from both manufacturers equally!!  :o

COngrats,

They are excellent rods and im sure you will be happy with it.

I have not had the opportunity to use the Tradition.  But ihave heard nothing but great things about them.

Let us know how you like it.

Also, where did you pick it up?  Did you order online?

I am really thinking about ordering a couple of the Co-Matrix rods from their website.  I would rather buy them in person so I could see what they feel like, but I have heard enough good things about them to try them out.  I did have a question about the warranty though, does that cover everything (such as me stepping on the rod or braking the tip off) or does it only cover defects in manufacturing?

Thanks

Here is how Ken, the owner, worded it to me.

"  There is enough money (profit) in fishing rods that i dont care if the customer just gets sick of them and breaks one over his knee, we will replace it.  "

So basically, if your rod is broke, your getting a new one, despite how it happened.

Only thing I have a complaint about with my rod, the Traditional, is the reel seat.  It looks really cool, but I had to wrap a little electrical tape around the bases of my reel to get it to stay in there tight.  Otherwise it would slide side to side.  I don't like that, but we'll see.  If this is the same with all of their traditionals, I probably won't buy another one of them, maybe opting for a co-matrix or puls-r, or even one of those pretty Powell rods I was looking at.  Kistler fan, and they are almost twins.
