Thanks to several friends and relatives, and the guys at Swanson's Auto Service in Grandville the Tahoe LIVES!!!!  This is a huge load off my mind and bank account.  After nearly 2 months of people telling me they could get it running and then failing, we finally decided that we would just started all over this week in MY garage.  Re-installed the distributor (turns out it was 180 degrees off), changed out the coil, changed the plugs (for the 3rd time... they were flooded badly) and it started!!!  Drove it to Swansons last night spitting and sputtering the entire way because we couldn't get the timing quite right manually (a scan tool is required for the 5.7 Vortec).  They called me a little while ago and said it's back to normal.  No "check engine" light or anything!!!

A HUGE relief.  Should have just brought it Swansons in the first place.  Lesson learned... don't be so dang dutch!!

I would be knocking on their door Mike. Don't let them screw you like that. Go after some money back.

Backwards isn't exactly right.  180 degrees off would be a better description.  I'm just writing it off as a lesson learned.

Just glad to have it back.  And I didn't even have to peel the Triton stickers off it to get it running.  ;D
