Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Anyone using Z-Man Crawdadz for smallmouth bass?  I watched the rigging video on Youtube and they suggest that you heat the shakyhead jig spring/holder before attaching it ,  They do not explain whether you push it on or thread it on after the heating.  The video used a buckeye lure shakyhead which seems to have to types of holders (screw on and push on) so I am not even sure which type of jig they were refering to.   I tried contacting Z-man but their e-mail link is not working.

Thanks for your help!

I never new you cant use a screw lock on elazteck(sp?). Good luck trying to rig one of these up in high winds. You would be better off rigging these up in the garage before hand and just tying a new shakey head on.

I found another way to rig it that accomplishes what I wanted to do.  I was looking for a slow verticle fall with the craw sitting vertically on the bottom.  I ended up rigging it Texas style usung a 3/0 Gamakatsu Skip Gap Hook and adding a small hook weight to the shaft of the hook just behind the tail.

Can't wait for the ice to leave to try it out.

Two words:

Super Glue.

I use it all the time to secure plastic baits to hook keepers.  Works great.  Get the gel type... no mess.

Do you know whether super glue works on ElaZtech?

I'll bet an aggessive smallie can pull the claws off one of those things without you even knowing it!  Good looking craws!  Might have to give them a try.

They hold up ok, But when you order 500 I don't care to loose a few.. LOL.. I don't worry about fish picking off the claws on my baits. I try and use baits with small claws so the bass just eat the whole thing in one gulp.  ;D  My livewells are always filled with craw claws, This shows me that they don't always pick the claws off.  ;D

My favorite jig trailer are these.. Jr Pro Craw Chunks in black/green pumpkin or whatever match's my jig.

Their tubes are worth a peek as well... Big ol fat heads and deep cut tails. http://www.tacklecabin.com/store/Prowler-Lures-7744/4-Inch-Fat-Jack-Tube-8pk-27044

Their drop shot worms are the best I have seen. The colors don't do them justice.. http://www.tacklecabin.com/store/Prowler-Lures-7744/5-Inch-Drop-Shot-Worms-15-Pk-27048

BTW.. My first order from here came in on Monday ... I'm not wanting this to sound like a sales pitch..  ::) I never bought anything from Prowler other than the jig trailers... These other baits are really looking great. Even their pro slim jims... I ordered a lot from tackle cabin. Fast delivery and good product.  8)
