Welcome to the site.  You will find a good group of guys here.  While they will be the occasional "drama" as there is with any website forum, there is far less than you will find on other sites.
As for your home town, I traveled to Cleveland this past fall and was very impressed with all they great things going on.  I'm also a little jealous that you live close to one of the best brewing companies in the country...the Great Lakes Brewing Company and their ever so delicious Edmund Fitzgerald!
