Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I have an idea Dan! After walking around BPS at the same time as other members and not knowing it, I thought about  how that could be changed. I realize you have logo apparel available through Cafe Press, but people leave there coats on in the winter, everyone has a favorite hat, etc.

What about a hook? Ya know, those gold hooks people put on the bill of their hats! What if we get those hooks and have someone powder coat them in a unique color, that way we can recognize each other and not get strange looks when we ask someone if they are on GLB. It would have been nice to say hi to some of you in person.

;D We can be touted as one of the most prolific fishing gangs in the country, showing our colors and our symbol....Hooked fo' life!  ;D

:o  j/k, I like that idea, I know every fishing related event I go to, another GLB member is close by.  When I rep at shows I usually add my GLB "handle" somewhere to name tag, meet wuite a few people that way.  8)

So... orange dots on the forehead wouldn't go over well? I'm sure many aren't fond of tattoos either?? ;D

The hook's not a bad idea. I'm sure some don't wear 'jewelry,' but it's a good starting point to come up with something. I had to wear my t-shirt Saturday to meet skeeterman and remind a few others who I am. More anglers apparently recognize my boat than me!?!

I've been getting lots of great ideas. Any other suggestions on how to identify each other? There's a similar topic going on about recognizing each other at tournaments in the 'Other...' board. Seems like we could come up with something if we think about it? I like high tech myself, but not too many would probably want to be injected by a microchip?? We could set it to beep whenever two or more chips get nearby? (Could you imagine the noise at one of the poker games?)

We can't do exactly - look for the hook, since FLW Outdoors has that covered already. I will continue to think on it.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

While I was at Bps, I would have like to have known what other GLB members were there. The Baseball cap is always a great idea.
