Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

On a sled site I visit I use a "View new post" option that views all post/threads since my last visit...Does this site have such a tab/option?

Yep,  just look up above and to the left. there are three lines on mine that read

Show unread posts since last visit
Show new replies to your posts
     Total time logged in:

I just click on the show unread posts and have that page saved in my favorites.  Goes right to it.

If anyone can't see it, there is a little +- button near the right edge of the header below header under the P-Line product info ads and the drop-down '--- Page to Go To ---' navigation menu. You can hide the Member Welcome area by clicking - and show it again by clicking +

For new members I apologize for the [News] member posts but they are the easiest way for me to import news and info from other sources. The automated retrieval happens once/twice a day (or less depending on the source). Just skip by those posts scrolling and paging if they don't interest you. Some members and newer visitors do find them helpful. The more often you visit GreatLakesBass.com the less those [News] posts will show up on your Recent Unread Topics.

I'm still testing and formatting the new version of the forum software (and new website). It has an ignore feature that may allow me and/or you to not see posts by [News] or other members you might now be interested in. Still testing how it works and what it will and won't do. It will be awhile yet before I get my volunteer testers to look at the new forum and roll it out. I want to give some warning and avoid too much culture shock :D
