I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Mike Iaconelli has been spotted today on Muskegon Lake. I didn't see him, but a friend of mine has a pic of him at the Snug Harbor State Park launch, from about an hour ago. They're starting to trickle in.

Mike S.

Me too. He's the Happy Gilmore of the Elite Series, in my opinion. Very entertaining individual.

Dan

During my Marshaling trips over the last five years I've asked Ike to sign the hats I've been collecting from each year. Each time he goes way beyond just signing a hat. Several times he's asked me to sit down in his boat and we have chatted. Very genuine 1:1. Same goes for Skeet. His TV persona is not what you see when you are in the boat or on the dock with them. Can't wait till the St. Clair event and see who I draw for my three trips out on the big water. Looking for a decent motel over near Metro. Any recommendations out there?

Dan, if you want to stay someplace decent the Holiday inn express by Walmart on 59 and 94 is your best bet....I think that is the City of Chesterfield there....It's about 15 mins or so from Metro..It's  fairly new and appears clean and secure..

thedude

there's a baymont inn in roseville. 75$ a night through booking.com. we stayed there in may, it was fine.

There will be many more pros spotted as the events in Michigan draw near. It's very exciting to see our state get that much exposure. It's been a long time coming.

I checked and he is 47th in points.  Going to have to make a huge comeback to make the post season.   Unless there is another event???.....

Dan

He's quite likely to be voted in by the Fans.

Yep bet that is it.  Forgot about the fan vote.

Mike S.

I'd like to see Ike, Gman, KVD, Skeet, Brandon P, JVD, Edwin Evers, and Greg Hackney here for sure.

Dan

I like that list. Would be nice to see Evers as well.

I'm going to have to bump someone off that list to add Chad Pipkens.

There is room there Dan. Arent they bringing 12 or 14 anglers here?

djkimmel

14: Top eight in Elite standings. I don't think he will make that cut his first year.

Rookie of the year - he's in 8th place. I'm not sure a pep talk will work at this point - I've wished him luck a number of times. Another spot goes to the recent Classic winner.

Then, there are 4 fan favorites. I think we may have to get him some votes for that. Tough to beat some of the names above if they are in the fan voting but not impossible.

Regardless of who makes it here, it is sure to be a heck of a show.
