So I got my new unit installed on the boat. I added a shoot thru transducer and the book says to set the unit on dual beam. When I do this I have no SI I have to go back to the SI transducer to use it. Also hooked up ethernet to 898 to my 788HDDI unit and I get networking on the 898 but not on the 788 so I cannot link the 2 together. Any body able to help me out.

Thanks
Bill

Relying totally on memory, and you know how bad that can be.
I don't have the ethernet I have the interlink.
I believe that I had to set each unit to share  waypoints with each other and the interlink.  It should be a set up thing when you first turn them on.

I don't remember doing anything special with the two SI transducers in the back.  Maybe I just lucked out, but the unit just switches back and forth between the two as needed.

I just did an update on the 898 SIc.  To do so, I had to reset to factory defaults, and yesterday everything worked just fine.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
