I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Fixing my boat in the snow

Well had plan to work on my tracker this weekend and so of course you know it would have to snow and make it twice as hard top work on it. So I figured I would work on it till I could not feel my finger tips any longer then go inside and warmed up. Doing this should make a few hour work a into a whole days work to say the least. I had a long list of things I want to get done so I can go fishing as soon as season opens up next week end.
So I removed as much of the snow as I could and got to work, I replaced the tilt and trim unit in the boat and got to rewired the switch to the dash. this went better then I thought it would and only took three hours. Then I got to work on the bilge pump and the hose to the haul. Now I love my tracker but they never figured you might need to replace the hose someday so they welded or sealed it in so you can not get to it. I had to rework it totally and run new hose to a different spot in the boat.
So now that I have spent over six hours working on the boat and going inside to warm up I figured why not try to install the on board charger. Now that was the easiest thing I did today it only took an hour and that was even going to get the batteries out of storage.
Now come the fun part putting in the new starter, when you can only feel a little bit in your finger tips. Luckily my fishing partner showed up and offered a hand with it. Between the two of us, taking turn, we got it in with little problem. We even found a broken wire and fixed it while we where in there, Thanks God it started on the first try!
So now all that is left is to go over the live-well and make sure it is still set up to work when I need it too. Not a bad days work what I could of done a four hours ended up being nine hours worth of work.
Good news is we are hitting the water next Saturday right after the Kal-Valley Bass Club meeting. Here we come all you bass in Austin Lake, you better be ready to stop in our boat for visit Saturday afternoon.
You might ask was it worth all the work in the snow and cold weather to work on your boat? I got to say yes it was worth every frozen minute, especially with only one week till bass fishing season starts. LET'S Go FISHING

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
