Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

TNB Shoot-Out Early Draw For Take-Off Position.
A special thanks to Snug Harbor Outfitters for letting us hold our early draw for take off position on May 4 2013 at 1:00. All entries received before this date will be eligible.You can also sign-up at the drawing from 12:30-1:00. We will be giving away a Powell rod and Cruncher Baits. Must be present for door prizes. Hot dogs will be provided by Snug Harbor Outfitters. May 18 will be the cut off for all entries,we will not accept any entries after this date or if the 50 boat field is filled before.(No sign-ups at the ramp the day of the tournament). We would like at least 1 team member be present at the drawing. ;D

Well I know neither myself or my partner can make it that day... Saturdays suck for both of us.

That's ok, Mike. As long as your entry is in to Gary by that day, you are eligible for the early take off drawing. He just wants to have people present for door prizes. The bait shop is a new ROI sponsor, and a newer business. Just trying to help him out and get people in there.
