looking for a place in the Anchor Bay (US side) area for burgers/beer or ? that don't mind a smelly old fisherman. Coming up for a week on the c&r Thanks Joe

If you go to:
www.Marinecruiser.com you can pull up the map, highlight that you want to know where there are food places, and it will show you on the map some places that you can drive the boat to.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Do you mean to drive there by boat, or just truck on over after a day of fishing? Is The Raft still open? I used to go there years ago. Been a while.

By land, it is a little fancy but I have gone to that restaurant as a smelly angler and not kicked out on South River Rd at the end of the road that crosses over the Clinton River to North River Rd (Bridgeview St). Always been good each time I've gone there. I think it is Bentley's Roadhouse?

Pier III has been good in the past. On Jefferson just South of South River Rd so convenient if you are coming from Harley Ensign. Been a few years since I was there too. Maybe someone local can say if it is still dependable.

For an adventure, a nice group of anglers took me up on North Ave to Tavern at Tina's Country House last May. I see very mixed reviews for it (but I'm told 30 to 50% of reviews on the Internet are now fake?!?) but the food was good, little noisier atmosphere, fun, nice waitresses, good burgers and recommended for Italian food. It was just a touch slow but fun and real good food when we went. 50870 NORTH AVE
MACOMB MI 48042 out a little ways just South of 23 Mile Rd.

Some other very nice anglers took me to Louis Chop House last July. If you catch a 7-pounder or a favorite relative is visiting you on your trip, I was REAL impressed with this place. The food was very, very good. Service was super nice and fancy. We felt underdressed as anglers - many people were dressed in their Sunday best, but everyone there treated us like respected family. It is expensive but not really more so than the many higher end chain places and this is not a chain restaurant. Again, I see some really bad reviews but the night we were there, they had music, flaming stuff at tables, professional wait staff and ALL of our food was interesting and very tasty. It is a longer meal service but again, I mention it for that special evening where everything went just right or to top off a great trip!

My disclaimer is, my memory is risky, but I'm pretty sure these were the 2 new places I went last summer and I know I enjoyed them both! Besides, I named off some closer, more regular burger joint types.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

thanks to all for your input . I was wondering about on the water so we could hit it before we headed to Anglers Point for the night. I used Marinecruiser (fabulous effort by someone) I saw the restaurants but wanted to make sure they wouldn't throw us out cause of our hopefully fishy smell.

Hey Guys try the Raft Bar on the north east side of the upper part of the Bay.Great chilly, burgers, fries and of course all the spirits You guys can handle.I just hope the water is up high enough you guys can motor in there.Expect a climb up from your gunnel's to the walkway on the dock.Or you can park the boat and drive over to the Raft bar.

                                  GOOD LUCK bob620

I've always like Eddie's Drive Inn across from the launch at Crocker.  Good food, and great orange creamsicle shakes.

It's not "on the water"  but it's literally right across the street from the launch entrance/exit.

I second this one. Stopped there last year and had a great lunch.
