Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Has anyone seen what the water level is around the bay, was at a bait shop the other day and the owner was saying that the Quanicassee launch was so low that flat bottom boats were the only way to go. Just wondering what Bay Port and Port Austin were like. Read somewhere that you could almost walk from Sand Point to the Charity's...

When I was out in Linwood about 2 weeks ago the water level looked about the same from last fall. I know the Linwood marina does a good job of keeping up on their ramp so I'm sure it's still useable. Other than that grindstone city just east of Port Austin has a nice DNR launch that I used last fall but haven't checked it out yet this year

this posted today on Linwood Beach Marina's FB page:

Channel Depth:
We are currently working inside the basin by the fuel dock and the launch ramp. The weather the last few days has not allowed us to go out into the Bay to start on the main channel.
The weather will also determin when we can get the buoys in place. We are planning on having this completed by the weekend. as soon as we have this complete we will make a post on FaceBook and on our main web page on the fishing Report.
As everyone knows the water level is low. We have all of our permits in place and have started on the dredging. The dredging process will take awhile. We DO NOT KNOW when we will be completed with the dredging. We will be working on it continually to make sure all of our customers have access to the Saginaw Bay.
If you have any questions please feel free to Email me at any time.
