Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Below is an email I received from Dan this afternoon about our late spring.  Looks like he just needed to pull some strings and get it done.

I had a meeting with the MDNR and other groups today. I think spring will now happen in 2-3 days. You're welcome!

Yes in an historical agreement the MDNR worked out a plan to hurry up spring by agreeing to terms with the Georgia dept. of natural resources.  There is one glitch however.  We have to go to Georgia to experience the effects for the next week or two.  After that we'll be good to go.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

If you guys come to Georgia, bring a boat. I don't have mine with me.

They wouldn't let him strap it to the plane!! I told him the straps would hold below 440mph...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Dan your good with me, even if your weather forcast was a little off, you pointed me in Bobs direction at World Wide Marine.  Not to turn a post into an infomercial.  But if anyone has'nt at least called Bob and had him take a look at your current policy just to make sure your properly covered you need at do that.  Believe me you will be very happy you did.

Thanks! I feel like I swung for the fences and a foul ball hooked back fair just inside the post!!
