Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Well, the ideas keep coming and we keep listening.  The Angler's Genie version 1.3.1 is now ready for update.

There has been a lot of requests for the ability to run analysis type reports based on Logbook information like largest fish, avg size, temp ranges, avg's by lake, avg's by season, etc.  The way the system was capable of storing this information would make those type of reports difficult depending on how the user was entering the data.  We have changed that and all the data is entered one way now so these type of reports are now possible.

We've also added the ability to track Fishing Line as it's own setup.  I only use a couple of lines myself, but many of you have asked for more.  Well, we listened.  It is now incorporated into the Logbook section, search section, its own setup section and reports.

There are a few other changes like a pre-filled list for Wind Direction and Moon Phase as well for the Logbook entry screen that make some of the data entry more compatible.

If you have a previous version, just start it up and go to Help/Updates and follow the instructions - you must be connected to the Internet in order to receive the update.

If you don't have yours yet, what are you waiting for?   Stop wishin' and get fishin'

The kids don't put up much of a fight you just have to catch them they are pretty fast.

The wife thought she can fight it would take some help to get the money from her.

djkimmel

sounds like you just need some creative accounting...;D

I don't have to worry about the accounting I pay all the bills. I think she keeps an inventory of everything fishing I've ever bought and if she finds something out of the inventory she mentions it.

I'm just waiting until the holiday's are over then I'll get my copy.

djkimmel

I've been through the rod-counting before. I don't go way out of my way to hide things, but I don't pile them up out in the open right in front of anyone either ;D (besides - the last time I left a lure out in the open I ended up removing hooks from two of my cat's paws...)

Now that option might appeal to some anglers... but it would not work for me ;D ...(now that you mention that, I can see where it might be used for the other side... hmmmm ;D)

The inventory thing isn't a problem. The last time I checked I had about 19 rods so I have nothing to complain about.

Genie

I'm sure everyone involved will be happy anyway ...

FYI - For those who want an up close look at The Angler's Genie, we will be at all the shows this year starting with Novi show.  I'll also be including it in all my seminars so you can see it in action as well as at the booth.

We will definitely be at the NBAA booth.  I am in the process of working out the details with Jim at NBAA right now.  We might be doing some kind of show special package for membership/software or the software by itself.  More details to follow.
