I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Just a heads up that one of our own - Duke - has blazed a trail by submitting his own feature article to GreatLakesBass.com - Drop Shot Hooks Angler - for addition to the online articles library here.

Not only is it written by one of our own, but also uses the knowledge of two additional members from our wealth of member resources here at GreatLakesBass.com - SClapper and rufus! I'm sure you will recognize these are three anglers who have a lot of knowledge to share.

Expect more articles with expert advice as we progress through the winter.

For now - check out the latest new article - Drop Shot Hooks Angler - by Andrew Buss (Duke).

And any of you aspiring writers, take the bull by the horns (or the keyboard) - write and submit an article - You could be published on GreatLakesBass.com too for all the Internet to read.

I'll be posting writer's guidelines sometime soon, but for now, if you have a topic of interest that you believe will appeal to readers, write it up and email it to me, preferably with an assortment of digital pictures (at least one - I may be able to come up with some also if necessary) and we'll go from there. The pay might only be feedback from some readers, but it's worth it!

Many of you already post some great reading right here on the forum and that is much appreciated too - by me and by all the members and visitors (I hear a lot of great comments)!

A very nice article, well researched and thought out. Thanks for your efforts. The memories from my youth involving English teachers dramatically restricts my ability to say any more nice things. ;D
Keep up the good work!

By "Expect more articles with expert advice as we progress through the winter" I didn't want people (or especially Duke ;D) to think I was putting pressure on him to expect more articles just from him (although don't be surprised - he may have more up his sleeve... you never know), but I plan on writing some more with the help of our wealth of expert anglers who hang out around here and the Great Lakes.

And maybe more articles from you... yeah you! Maybe, you'll take a crack at it too. It takes a little work and effort. You don't always get the feedback you hope for... but sometimes... yes, sometimes it's pure magic. I would have trouble describing it, but you'll know it when you hear it.

Even if it isn't 'magic' every time, there's just something really satisfying (and even cool) about seeing your name tagged on the byline of an article.

I'm dumbfounded...

But I give you a B+ in communicating your message. Well said.
