I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I have a P4 3.0ghz laptop that when you plug in the power the screen doesn't get brighter.

It just started doing this last Thursday, and the battery charges with no problems.

The laptop has about 50,000 miles on it running around in my work van.

I have not had any other problems with it at all.

Anybody have any ideas.

Thanks
Clare

HellaBass

its probably just a setting....
You should manually be able to make it brighter by holding down the fucntion key and hitting some other keys, may have seconday symbol that looks like a sun or something

McCarter

could be a bad video card.

I have a wireless keyboard in the van that must have bumped something and changed the setting.

Thanks

I oversee our help desk.  It buys you an extra 5 minutes or so to sip coffee before they call back  ;D
