BoatU.S. urges Michigan voters to vote Yes on Proposal 1
« on: November 03, 2006, 10:04:11 PM »

Dear Michigan BoatUS Member,

At the election polls next week, you will be asked to vote on state Proposal One. Proposal One asks voters to restrict the Governor and Legislature from diverting recreational and conservation related funds to other state funds or programs.  Proposal One will constitutionally protect these funds and will ensure that the state's natural resource system will continue to receive these monies in the future regardless of Michigan's economic or budgetary pressures.

We urge you to vote YES on Proposal One.  It will not increase your taxes.  It will not take state funding away from other programs. It simply ensures that the money you pay for your boat registration, your fishing license, and park entrance fees will all go back to support the resources you enjoy.

For more information on this Proposal, see http://www.protectyourfunds.org

Please share this with friends, neighbors, and boat and fishing club buddies.

Sincerely,

BoatU.S. Government Affairs

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
