Well, I fished the lake for a few hours today. Very pretty lake with a ton of 14-15" largemouth. I fished weed lines today to catch them. Mostly 7-9ft. I fished a little deeper trying to find the smallmouth but couldn't find them.

This lake is different than anything I have fished before. I am not used to these large sand bowls. Everyone says there are smallmouth in here, but I don't know where they are hiding. I used my side imager for a while trying to locate any distinct edge or structure and only found weeds. I couldn't find any rocks or sharp contour lines.

Never-the-less, this is a fun lake to fish. Plenty of action and the largemouth fight pretty good. A couple of times I thought I had a bigger fish on for a second only to see a 15" largemouth jump out of the water.

I am here until next Saturday. I'm going to fish here again tomorrow then go try Long lake Tues morning.

Wish me luck.

I saw two other boats fishing. One other boat today. Same today as yesterday. I couldn't find any smallmouth. Tomorrow I am going to Long.
