Grand Traverse Bay Classic
« on: September 25, 2006, 11:09:56 PM »

The Tear Drop had their first day of a two day Classic on Grand Traverse Bay. Had time to put the big bass from day one on the teardropbass.com web page, but because of work I won't have the story up for a day or two or three or four...... One team caught a six pounder and a fiver. Several five pounders caught and it took over 20 for the day one lead.

which bay did you guys fish on?  I heard the bass are really starting to get aggressive again with the cooler temps.

Retired and already back to work....... so I don't have our Tear Drop article done on our end of year $5,000 two day Classic. We fished GT Bay and guys fished both bays. We took off on the peninsula on East Bay. I sucked. Never fished it before and couldn't prefish and just didn't pick up on the pattern. Our top ten boats fish and of those 10 boats there were 4 five pounders, one of the five was 5-14 and one that was over six. There were three limits and two boats blanked and two boats caught just one. I have a couple buddies fishing up there this weekend as well and should be able to get another pretty good report.
