Bite on Erie was a bit slow today.

I got out on Erie for about three hours.  Caught a limit of largies, with one pushing 5, but most were just avg. keepers.  All were chunky and healthy.

The fish were quite sluggish though.  They were not chasing baits well.  Had to slow way down.

Where did you go out of and what area did you fish??  This time of year Brest Bay can be as good as the Mile Roads and sometimes better.  There are available largies in the area around the marina entrances but the bay itself can be great for smallies.

Didn't make it down that far.  Fished around banana dikes.

I have always done well around the dike. Usually good largemouth around there. I have had some tough bites down there occasionally. Out in front there can be some good smallie fishing this time of year.
