Hey does anyone own a KVD crankbait rod, or heard if they are any good? I know they do have a lifetime warranty. I want to get a composite rod for cranking big cranks.

I used one for a couple years when they first came out and really liked it. I heard some complaints about the quality - guides not being aligned etc. but never had any issues. I think the new version looks really good and hard to beat for the price.

I have one and really like it.  Nice and light, pretty sensative (for a cranking rod).  I did have to pick thru the 4 on the rack to find one that wasn't either warped to one side or had mis-aligned guides.  My kid/partner Martin has one too and likes his as well.

Waterfoul what model do you have? I was thinking about getting the 7'10" mh to throw 5XD and 6XD

Skulley

I own two (2) of them.  I love them.  I have a 7 footer and a 7' 10".  The 7' 10" is an older model that was fiberglass.  I have had this rod repaired and guides replaced and everything to keep it use.  The other is a newer composite rod.  Ultimately a fiberglass rod is always better for deep cranking.  I use American Rodsmith rods for most of my cranking as they are all fiberglass and fiberglass has always been better for cranking.  Fiberglass actually aids in keeping the fish "buttoned" when you don't have him hooked good which happens more times than not when cranking.  Plus they are more sensitive.  There are actually better rods out there that you will pay a bit more for.  But the newer KVD cranking rods aren't bad for the money.

I have the 7'4" Medium.  Use it mostly for medium deep cranks and wiggle wart type baits.
