I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Did any of you get a chance to try making a Carolina Rig?

Rangerman

Fronm a Carolina Boys Son you forgot the weight :D :D :D

djkimmel

Yeah... where does the weight go? I always make my Carolina Rigs right on the fishing line with 17 or 20 lbs test P-Line Halo usually.

That's not a Carolina-Rig. . . .

I have seen people pre-rig wires with beads and metal rings though many of them also put the weight on the wire. I've never tried it that way. Has anyone else?

Weight goes on the line. I enjoyed your commentary though! :D

detroit1

Not only did you forget the weight, but it needs at least 1 swivel, if not 2. Either way, in the clear waters i fish, the bass would just laugh and move on....

I guess we'd have to see a complete video/picture of this version of the rig to see how it all comes together.

As far as bass laughing at it... have you seen the umbrella rigs people are catching bass on?!? Bass aren't real smart...

Thanks for the comments. The line does go on the line above. I'll be a little more specific next time. We are also using a very similar rig for walleye now. Different things different areas is right. Main thing is to add some click to add a sound attractor.
