I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I would connect the charger to a known good battery, such as the one in your car, and charge that one over night. The charger should charge it to the point that the indicator light goes to the fully charged state (usually a solid green light). If it doesn't, something may be wrong with the charger. If it is a multiple bank charger, do the same to the second bank. If both banks indicate a fully charged battery after charging over night, your problem may be with the boat batteries or something staying on in the boat that is draining the batteries as they charge, preventing a full charge from occurring. This could be from a a compartment light staying on, an auto bilge pump switch that is corroded that is allowing current to flow, etc.... After confirming the charger works on a known good battery that is not connected to anything, try charging the boat batteries with nothing else connected to them. If they charge, then I would look for something in the boat drawing them down.

A cheap battery voltage tester might also show you quick if you have a bad battery or not.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

thanks guys, i'm going to test the charger with a battery just like MBFT suggested and see what happens

had problems with my Ranger charger earlier this year.   you should have 12.5 volts on a good battery.  when you plug in the charger the it should start to go up and shut when it is holds around 16 volts.   Check each bank of the charger  mine had one that was dead and the other was intermittent.  If it is charging get the batteries load tested.  I got a BPS charger and have had no problems.   plus it has a 2 year in store warrenty.
good luck.

well, it looks like the charger is dust the LED's that are flashing are the power, float and go fish, but NOT the charging LED it stays off never blinks at all. a quick call to customer service tomorrow will hopfully confirm my findings or give me more stuff to try. so i've been surfing the web and found this.
