Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

What a day!  The lake was rocking 3 foot rollers when we got out, but I'm glad we braved the elements.  We rocked em today.  I need to wait a week to put up specifics about where we were but needless to say we did awesome.  We got 25+fish with most in the 3lb range with my partner bagging a nice 4.75 and I got one that was a little over 4.  We found lots of bait and lots of bass.  We even got about a 5 lb walleye just for fun.  We gave it to a guy and his son at the ramp.  They were heading out in a little 16 foot fiberglass.  We warned them to not go out, hopefully they turned around and came in once they saw the water out there.  It was pretty choppy today.

Because of a tourney I need to be a little stingy with information today, so I'm sorry to all my pals who look forward to these reports.  But I'll get some info up soon, I promise.  Just suffice it say, fish deep!  Deep, deep, deep.  What a fun day.

Sorry about the photos.  I'll post the unedited ones later.

So, TOM, how did the tourney go?  Now can you tell us where you were fishin?

I wasn't fishing the tourneys.  I was doing recon for a good friend.  I'll leave it at that.

Geez, it seems like everyone now knows that the channels are the place to be.  Man, the fishin's been great up there.  There is bait on every seawall and lots of big bass everywhere you go.   ;D   The channels were LOADED with bass boats this weekend.  I guess the cat's out of the bag.  Looking forward to my next outing this week.

That seems to be the theme for 2011 on the Great Lakes, I cannot get over the amount of bait fish that I have seen this year on St. Clair and Erie both.  I was on Erie today and say bait fish all over.
