Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open Postponed Due to Dangerous Flooding

May be rescheduled for October 2011

The Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Table Rock Lake has been postponed until the fall, and will most likely be rescheduled for October 2011.

Capt. Gary Haupt with the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that all events on Table Rock Lake have been canceled through Sunday, May 1. The Marine Patrol cited public safety and property damage concerns as the main reasons for revoking the permits that are needed to hold tournaments on the lake.

Arkansas and Texas are getting hammered! Tornados. Softball-sized hail. Ouch!

Seems that way many days the past couple seasons. I do feel very sorry for all the tragic deaths during these storms. It was hard to go to sleep last night wondering how I was going to know if another tornado came through.

We had a warning right were I'm staying in Eddyville Ky. The it got canceled about 10 minutes later. Then they tracked a funnel cloud for quite a while through mostly rural areas 20 or so miles SE of my motel. The lightning show last night was amazing.

FLW Tour just followed suit and canceled their Table Rock event too.
