Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Wednesday, February 9 - Catching More Bass Using Soft Plastics with Jon VanDam
Touring Elite BASS Pro Jonathon VanDam shares his techniques and secrets for drop-shotting, tubing, and other soft plastic techniques. Locations, rigging, colors, equipment and more will be discussed along with those special little secrets that will help you catch more and bigger bass.

Thursday, February 10 - Bluegills by the Bucket Load with Randy VanDam
Randy will demonstrate how to find and catch more big bluegills during those tough times before and after spawn, during summer and before ice-up. Location, technique and equipment will be discussed.
   
Friday, February 11 - Basic Handgun Instruction with Monica Ferrucci
As a certified NRA instructor , Monica will teach the basics of handgun safety and use. Learn about the different types of guns, their uses, and various shooting techniques. Whether for personal protection or target practice, Monica will give you all the information you need to make informed decisions about owning and shooting a handgun. Although she specializes in ladies instruction, Monica teaches a variety of courses for men and women, including NRA First Steps and Concealed Carry Classes.
